Job Summary
This role oversees the Process Plant specifically, which includes Intake, Mixing and Separation. Reporting into the Process Manager and liaising closely with the Shift Manager on daily production issues. You will play a key role in motivating, developing, and supporting the process shift team to deliver outstanding results. You will supervise the Process Plant, ensuring staff and processes are coordinated and supported throughout the shift for optimum operational efficiency.
Process Team Leader Responsibilities Include
* The day to day running of the process plant, milk reception, mixing and separation room; monitoring operational performance in the area throughout the day and reporting key information to the Process Manager and Shift Manager
* Monitoring key processes throughout the day, cream fats, planning cream loads producing data and reports as required
* Responding to breakdowns and operational issues as required. Liaising with Engineers and staff to support remedial action and adapting production plans in conjunction with Process & Shift Manager
* Oversees Process Plant staff, coordinating tasks and breaks. Supervises performance, raising any identified issues to the Process Manager
* Responsible for training plans in the area. Ensuring trainers are assigned to new starters and ongoing training plans. Identifies training needs. Keeps an overview of activity and helps coordinates efficient training plans that support required skill development
* Deputises for Shift Manager in their absence, supporting wider shift requirements
Requirements / Qualifications
* ILM Level 3 or equivalent preferred, successful candidate will be required to achieve this if not already held
* Good working knowledge of Process Plants
* Good knowledge of the Production process as a whole
* Ability to work with data, analysing information and producing reports
* Understands how to use KPIs to drive operational efficiency
* Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and ensure targets achieved in fast-moving environment subject to change
* Demonstrates a proactive approach with a high level of accuracy and commitment
* Problem solving and flexible approach to work
