Customer Order Management Administrator

📍 Peterborough

We are currently recruiting for 4 Customer Order Management Representatives to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with experience in Customer Order Management or Customer Service within a manufacturing or engineering environment who are looking to develop their career within a structured, process-driven environment.

The role will be fully onsite during the initial training period and is expected to move to a hybrid model (3 days onsite / 2 remote) thereafter.

The Role

You will act as the single point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing the full order lifecycle from customer setup and order entry through to shipment and post-delivery support.

You will work closely with internal teams including manufacturing, logistics, quality, and distribution to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage customer accounts through the complete order lifecycle
* Process new orders, modifications, and escalations
* Ensure on-time shipment in line with agreed deadlines
* Act as liaison between customers, manufacturing plants, and internal departments
* Resolve complex customer queries through research and system knowledge
* Maintain accurate records in internal systems
* Ensure compliance with export and shipping documentation requirements
* Raise and manage quality-related non-conformance claims
* Prepare internal and customer reports
* Support customer visits where required
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

âś” Minimum 2 years' experience in Customer Order Management, Customer Service, Account Management, or Supply Chain
âś” Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment (essential)
âś” Strong understanding of order processing and the end-to-end order lifecycle
âś” Good technical aptitude and ability to understand product information
âś” Excellent communication skills
âś” Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
âś” Experience working with ERP or order management systems preferred
âś” Knowledge of Quality Management Systems advantageous

You will be working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with an immediate start
