Our client, a respected manufacturing organisation, is seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to support their growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships, improving processes, and influencing commercial success.

What you’ll do
* Support continuous improvement across procurement activities
* Create sourcing plans and raise purchase orders for materials and packaging
* Maintain accurate item codes, BOMs, prices, stock levels and vendor data
* Keep all live order information current for internal stakeholders
* Assist the Procurement Manager with KPI development and reporting
* Approve invoices and resolve discrepancies
* Take part in supplier performance reviews to maximise value
* Identify and secure alternative supply routes where required
* Control freight‑in costs and ensure correct import procedures
* Monitor inventory levels, manage excess/obsolete stock, and support stock counts
* Investigate and follow up on stock discrepancies
* Work closely with the Quality Manager to improve product and service standards
* Always maintain professional and ethical standards
* Carry out additional tasks agreed with the Procurement Manager
