European Operations Co?ordinator - Freight & Logistics

Salary: Circa £35,000 + Pension
Hours Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:30

The Role
As a European Operations Co?ordinator, you'll be at the heart of the day-to-day operation, managing European road freight shipments from start to finish.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing position where attention to detail, commercial awareness, and proactive communication are key.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing daily European freight bookings (import & export)
Handling customs clearance processes where required
Creating and managing job files and key documentation
Processing shipments through the Multifreight system
Liaising with clients - quotations, bookings, updates, and issue resolution
Negotiating rates and managing supplier relationships
Working closely with the internal sales team on pricing and service solutions
Monitoring shipments to completion, ensuring service excellence throughout
Maximising profitability through cost control and supplier negotiation
Invoicing and maintaining accurate operational records
Contributing to team meetings, performance reviews, and business planning
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in European freight forwarding or transport operations
Strong commercial awareness with experience in quotations & rate negotiation
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
Able to manage workloads under pressure and meet deadlines
A proactive problem solver with a "can-do" attitude
Self-motivated, driven, and enthusiastic
