Our client, a leader in the Aerospace industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to join their dynamic team at the Electronic Controls and Motor Systems (ECMS) site. Role Purpose:
As an Incoming Quality Inspector, you will play a vital role in the inspection of incoming piece parts for R&D electric motors and controllers. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that only the highest quality components make it through the doors.

Duration: 6 months ongoing
Location: Shirley, Solihull
Pay Rate: £30 - £35.00 per hour via Umbrella
Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 4 days required on siteKey Responsibilities:
Inspection Activities:Conduct thorough goods inwards inspections, review dimension reports from suppliers, and segregate non-conforming materials.
Technical Skills:Utilise precision measurement tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and interpret technical drawings/CAD models effectively.
Compliance:Maintain adherence to customer requirements and AS9100D standards - quality is key!
Documentation:Generate inspection reports, maintain meticulous records, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
Proactive Reporting:Be the eyes and ears of the operation notifying supervisors and stakeholders promptly of any serious defects, complete with photos and detailed notes to support your findings.Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, precision engineering, or other regulated industries.
A strong mechanical or electrical background that you can draw upon in your daily tasks.
Proficiency in manual measurement techniques; familiarity with CMM or Faro arms is a plus!Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with AS9100 standards.
Familiarity with ESD environments.
