We are currently working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the B30 area who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis.
This role will involve supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and stay engaged in lessons.
The school has a supportive staff team and a strong focus on inclusion, making it a great environment for someone who is passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
The role will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
Assisting the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities
Supporting pupils with their academic progress and emotional wellbeing
Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable)
Is patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with students
Has an interest in supporting pupils with SEN
Can work well as part of a team and take initiative when needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
