Title: Restaurant manager
Responsible to: Food and beverage manager
Salary: £ £15 per hour depending on experience – Full time, permanent position.
Definition: Under the supervision of the food and beverage manager you are responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, service of food and beverage within these areas whilst complying with all due diligence and legislation.
Essential duties and responsibilities.
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the Bar and restaurant.
· Engage with guests, their needs and exceed their expectations.
· Diary management and optimisation.
· Recruit, train and supervise restaurant staff, manage staff schedules.
· Design and implement operational standards to drive team efficiency and productivity.
· Opening and closing the business, cash ups, training and security.
· To be an ambassador for Trevose, know the business and your business.
· Monitor and reply guest feedback.
· Always ensure adequate levels of stock and ensure stocked areas are clean. organised and maintained correctly.
· Comply with all Health and safety, fire and risk assessments.
· Maintain an annual GP target of % across our bar
· Event organisation, running and delivery.
· Effectively manage and develop the customer journey.
· Ensure high levels of food quality
· Achieve revenue targets
· Always ensure responsible area cleanliness
· Generating efficient rotas, managing and authorising holiday.
Qualifications and skills.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
· Display strong leadership when required.
· Decision making.
· NVQ Level 2 – restaurant or leadership management.
· Level 2 or above Food safety.
· WSET 2 or above wine and beverage.
· Minimum two years' experience in a similar role.
· Ability to delegate effectively.
· First aid qualified, preferred
· Events experience preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
