Packaging Yard & Waste Management Supervisor role at PrepWorld — NIGHT SHIFT.

Key responsibilities
* Organise the Packaging, Yard & Waste Management teams to ensure daily tasks are performed correctly and in line with procedures.
* Conduct effective staff training to ensure competence, with training support from the line manager.
* Support and oversee customer tray stock counts and pallet stock counts as required.
* Have knowledge of all packaging SKUs and customer tray types.
* Read and action email requests accordingly.
* Oversee the movement of pallets and stock around the warehouse and yard in a safe and controlled manner.
* Oversee unloading of delivery vehicles on site in a safe and controlled manner following intake processes.
* Drive and manage all MHE equipment in a safe, controlled manner; ensure start-up documents are completed correctly.
* Supervise picking and supplying of packaging in advance according to daily packaging plans and supply to the airlock room for production.
* Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure they are signed and passed to the relevant departments.
* Organise stock in stores clearly and logically, ensuring internal codes are applied correctly with accurate information.
* Supervise all waste duties including waste disposal and recycling.
* Ensure machinery start-up checks are completed and report any defects to the Packaging, Yard & Waste Management Controller (Line Manager).
* Understand packaging plans/Bill of Materials to identify correct stocks for production.
* Understand stock types (current, new, redundant) and segregation importance.
* Collaborate with customer equipment and purchasing teams regarding delivery discrepancies.
* Oversee unloading on arrival and bulk stacking in correct areas.
* Promote good health & safety practices and brief the team on new company policies.
* Prepare, organise, and conduct effective staff trainings, return-to-work interviews, and probation reviews with support from the Line Manager.
* Assist the Line Manager with planning weekly rotas to ensure full coverage across Packaging & Yard teams.
Requirements
* Prior knowledge of warehouse and/or stock work is essential
* FLT certification (valid/date) preferred
* MHE experience preferred
* Good level of English communication skills (speaking, writing, listening) essential
* Good numeracy skills essential
* Leadership experience essential
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail essential
* First aid & fire marshal trained preferred
* Teamwork skills and ability to lead by example to achieve goals essential
* Good communication skills and punctuality essential

Hours: 17:00 – 05:00 (NIGHTS)
Location: Unit K, Springhead Enterprise Park, Northfleet, Gravesend DA11 8HH
