An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced individual to take on the role of Programme Manager for the Extended Degree in Science.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic lecturer to take on Programme Manager responsibilities for our EDS course. The role would be ideal for someone seeking to have a positive effect on the lives and experience of our students.
The successful candidate will be someone with up-to-date industry knowledge and an understanding of students in the HE sector. You will be capable of developing a wide range of learning materials which engage and motivate a diverse group of students with differing needs.
Our Programme Managers must be proactive and able to support students to work with other teams, across the College, University of Hertfordshire and the consortium. You should have in-depth knowledge of pathways and be able to support students to make the right choice for the progression. The successful applicant will be responsible for the Extended Degree in Science curriculum.
You will be expected to manage students’ key performance indicators and to work with Pathway Leaders to support learner’s achievement and progression. You will also be working closely with FE tutors to improve internal progression and with local employers to provide work-based learning experiences and GAP opportunities.
Applicants must be strong team players and individuals with a pro-active approach to work. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a forward-thinking individual with innovative ways of working with students.
Teachers with HE experience and teacher training qualifications would be desirable although if you are willing to obtain your teaching qualifications we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will initially work closely with the previous programme manager to ensure a supportive transition into the role.
