Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression and professional development.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on bill of materials and engineering specifications, liaising with design engineers for alternatives or variations.
3. Procure equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors, ensuring correct revisions for fabrication or assembly.
5. Visit subcontractors' premises to coordinate and review production processes.
6. Work with the design team to meet specifications and conduct quality checks prior to handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and snags cleared before products leave for site.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities, including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting equipment, and client handover.
9. Prepare, schedule, and monitor projects, following document control procedures.
10. Communicate with clients and project stakeholders to interpret needs and present solutions.
11. Manage contracts, including responses to compensation events, early warning notices, and quotes.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification with relevant experience.
* Knowledge of SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
