Our client, a leader in the space sector, is currently seeking AIT Technicians to join their team in Harwell. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and integrate mechanical and electrical components, sub-assemblies, and systems according to technical drawings and work instructions Perform electrical wiring, cable harnessing, and connector terminations following industry standards Perform soldering and rework activities following industry standards Create and maintain risk assessments Record test data accurately and complete all required documentation Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly or test issues, supporting engineering in root-cause analysis and corrective actions Maintain a clean, organised, and ESD-safe working environment Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality assurance procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT department Job Requirements: Experience in a hands-on assembly, integration, or test role Excellent organisational skills Strong practical skills in mechanical fitting, wiring, and assembly Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and test instruments Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Knowledge of health & safety and cleanroom/ESD practices Fibre optics handling and cleaning experience If you are an experienced AIT Technician with a passion for the space industry, we would love to hear from you.
