Overview
The North Thames Paediatric Network (NTPN) has an exciting new post of a Network Manager at Band 8A (0.6 WTE) to join and manage the One Heart Congenital Heart Disease Network. This network has a regional and national footprint, assisting Congenital Heart Disease service providers and the wider healthcare system. The role involves senior level exposure across the system and is a high-profile position within both the Trust, London region and within NHS England nationally.
The post holder will work closely with the One Heart CHD Network Clinical Director, Lead Nurse and Chair, represent the network within local, regional and national forums, and share best practice. The role will also support the overarching NTPN with additional projects/workstreams, requiring an expert multitasker and enthusiastic collaborator.
Note: This role is listed within admin & clerical; we welcome applications from nursing, AHP or other backgrounds if they meet the specifications and requirements of the post.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the day‑to‑day efficient and effective operational management of the One Heart CHD network, reporting to the One Heart CHD Clinical Director, Lead Nurse and the NTPN Network Director on all matters affecting the delivery of core services.
* Help clinical teams respond to operational issues on a day‑to‑day basis and ensure issues are swiftly resolved, implementing longer‑term solutions when required.
* Contribute to the development of strategic direction and annual business planning of the network, supporting the NTPN Network Director in setting and approving the annual One Heart CHD Network workplan.
* Assist in the determination of policy and strategy of the One Heart CHD Network together with the Clinical Director, Lead Nurse and Chair.
* When applicable, lead on the redesign of patient pathways within the specialty service line, ensuring optimal patient care, care closer to home and maximum utilisation of resources.
