A leading Property, Energy & Construction (PEC) team is seeking an experienced Property Damage Associate Solicitor, with a focus on property damage claims, coverage work, and subrogated recoveries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly collaborative team, led by a Legal Director who is passionate about mentoring and development. The successful candidate will run their own caseload and work alongside a supportive group including Senior Associates, Associates, and a Trainee Solicitor. Key Responsibilities: Managing a varied caseload of property damage claims, with particular emphasis on coverage and recovery work. Advising insurers, loss adjusters, and corporate clients on liability, quantum, and policy issues. Supporting and mentoring junior team members (if applicable). Participating in business development and client relationship management. Collaborating closely with team members, particularly during the anchor office day each Wednesday. What's Required: Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3-8 years' PQE, ideally with experience in property damage litigation. Some coverage experience is strongly preferred, but not essential. Ability to manage a caseload independently. Excellent technical and drafting skills, alongside a commercial and client-focused approach. Strong communication and teamworking skills - people who enjoy collaborating in person as well as remotely will thrive. Candidates with broader litigation experience (including those changing practice areas) will be considered, provided they can demonstrate capability and interest in this area. Team Culture: The team has a high retention rate, strong support structure, and collaborative working style. A hybrid working model is in place, but in-person connection is encouraged, with attendance at the office at least once per week. The anchor day is Wednesday, when the full team is expected to be in the office.
