Permanent Veterinary Nurse - North Berwick, East Lothian

2. Are you looking to join an established small animal practice in East Lothian?
We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in North Berwick, East Lothian for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team.
The position is a full time for 35 hours per week with shifts from 9am to 5pm, along with 1 in 8 weekends. The role will be based within one of their branch surgery but weekends will be based at their main site. There is time back in lieu after working a weekend. There will also be some occasional OOH work required to cover any sickness but you will be given time back in lieu.

The role:
8. The role involves a variety of duties including, assisting in surgery, inpatient care, nurse consultations, administer medications, patient record keeping, preventative health education to clients, assisting in emergencies, diagnostics and dispensing medications.
9. This role is ideal for a motivated and ambitious nurse who has a good range of skills and someone who would like to make a difference and share and promote new ideas.
10. The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.

12. First opinion practice - 5 branches in rota. They provide their own OOH service.

14. The branch on North Berwick where the role is based is a lovely seaside town. They provide consultations and surgeries. They offer separate consulting areas for both Vets and Nurses.
15. They are an established practice with an excellent local reputation. They offer a varied caseload with a range of facilities to be able to treat patients with the additional support of their main practice.
16. They offer a range of services including a ophthalmology referral service and a visiting orthopaedic surgeon.

27. Salary: Up to £32, per annum, commensurate to experience
