Job Information: Are you an experienced and successful teaching assistant who meets the HLTA standards? We are looking to appoint a committed higher level teaching assistant to our team for our Resource Base for 16 primary-aged pupils on the autistic spectrum with Education, Health and Care plans. The resource base is purpose built, well-resourced, and part of our main building. As a member of the resource base team, you will work alongside teachers and Level 3 teaching assistants, to meet our pupils' needs. You will also have opportunities to work alongside staff in our successful mainstream school. Successful candidates will also: Already be a higher level teaching assistant or demonstrate that they meet the 33 HLTA standards Successful experience of working with SEND pupils, particularly those on the autistic spectrum have a good knowledge of autism and a willingness to learn more be able to teach a class in the teacher’s absence work collaboratively and effectively with others be an enthusiastic, hardworking professional who can motivate and inspire children be punctual and reliable have high expectations of themselves and others and be committed to promoting high standards commit to safeguarding our pupils.
