About the nursery Spring The Hollies is a 50-place nursery based in the centre of Taunton, which was purpose built, offering three well-resourced rooms and a fantastic spacious outdoor space for children aged 3-months to 5-years, all of which have been completely renovated in September 2024. The nursery has a beautiful, large outdoor space for the children and the Spring The Hollies team prides themselves on creating child led opportunities for babies through to rising fives helping them to learn, develop confidence and have fun. In the role of Early Years Practitioner (Level 2), you'll be allowing the children to explore and discover their own creativity, individuality, and imagination within our bright, engaging and safe environments. What you’ll be doing In the role of Early Years Practitioner (Level 2), you'll be: Working as part of a team creating an environment in which children's individual needs are met and high standards of care are provided. Working alongside Level 3 practitioners in supporting children's development, participating, planning and setting up activities for a range of children. Developing successful relationships with children and their families. Observing and tracking children's development and share this with parent/carers and other professionals. Supporting children during mealtimes and toilet training. What we need from you In the role of Early Years Practitioner (Level 2), we're ideally looking for someone who has: Level 2 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent. If you already have a Level 3 qualification do also get in touch. Safeguarding Level 2 or ability to achieve. Experience working in an early year's childcare setting or a setting working with children. A thorough current working knowledge of children's emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs from 0 to 5 years.
