Permanent, Part Time (22.2 hours per week) We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer to work in The Income Management Team in the Landlord Services Directorate. We are a very successful team who has a great track record of helping tenants to ensure that their rent obligation can be met. As a Housing Officer (Income Management), you will be the primary contact for tenants who are concerned about paying their rent. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in the Landlord Services Directorate and external partners to ensure an effective front-line service is provided. You will be instrumental in maximising rental income by providing support, collecting rent, giving debt advice, and providing information and assisting tenants with benefit related queries. Managing a patch of properties in the South Yorkshire region Managing SYHA tenancies and ensuring that tenancy conditions are adhered to including preparation for and representation of SYHA in any legal proceedings. Making decisions and recommendations on case work. Recording and collating statistical and other information. Maintaining accurate property and tenancy records. Monitoring Service Standards and providing performance management information as required. Liaison with internal and external individuals and organisations which is relevant to the role.
