Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience of working with Jigs and Tooling to join a well-established specialist manufacturer in the Witney area. This business has been heavily investing in new machinery, tooling and equipment. This Manufacturing Engineer role is vital to the company’s growth plans over the coming years.
Responsibilities
On a day to day basis the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
* Creating & maintaining Technical Specifications for products and components including PDM, BOMs & production routings
* Introduction of new products to manufacturing including tooling design
* Ensuring Work instructions & SOPs meet the technical 'critical x's' of the specifications
* Problem solving on products & part design
* Process improvements & manufacturing efficiency to improve production costs & quality
* Product Quality, ensuring processes are controlled and cable
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will need a proven track record within a plastics / injection moulding manufacturer, working with Jig & Tooling Design. Other key things:
* An engineering qualification, apprenticeship and higher education
* CAD / CAM
* New Product Introduction
* Production timings & process optimisation
* Process Mapping
* Product Data Management
* Product Design for Manufacture
* ERP system functions including Bills of Materials and Production Routings
* Product Costing
