The role of Information Security Officer will include:
1. Supporting the development and maintenance of information security policies and processes to ensure data, systems and applications are secure and robust
2. Providing support and advice to staff and partners on governance and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures as needed
3. Supporting the effective resolution of customers’ security issues and queries
4. Liaising with the Technology Service Desk to ensure a high-quality level of customer service is provided
5. Carrying out appraisals of new and existing processes and their suitability to meet the future needs of the Group whilst meeting security requirements
6. Identifying risks and vulnerabilities and raising awareness of these information security issues
7. Promoting digital health and wellbeing
Skills and experiences:
8. Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
9. Working knowledge of information security practices in a large and complex organisation
10. Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
11. Experience of resolving technical security related issues
12. Experience of information security tools
13. Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST
14. Experience of data protection, UK legislation and GDPR
15. Ability to extract and interpret computerised data
16. Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application
17. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills

30. Role salary is £32,244 with an additional policy allowance of £12,723 per annum (rising to £33,941 with an additional policy allowance of £13,393 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
