Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in North Manchester who are currently looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong background in working with SEMH students.
About the role:
* Start-date: Immediate upon registration (2-3 weeks)

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who experience challenges related to their social, emotional, and mental health. You will provide targeted support in both classroom and 1-1 settings, helping students to engage with learning and develop the social/emotional skills they need to succeed. Additionally, you will collaborate with the SENCO and external agencies to provide support and implement individualised learning support.
What we’re looking for:
* Must have experience working with young people with SEMH or similar needs (preferably within an education setting)
* Calm, patient and empathetic with strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Understand the challenges faced by students with SEMH and how to support them effectively
* Committed to working as part of a team with support staff and external agencies
