As a Logistics Section Leader, you will manage and control finished goods stock, materials handling equipment, and transport within your area. You will also drive improvement activities, including KPIs, waste management, production control processes, and related administration and record-keeping.
Responsibilities:
* Encourage a safe working environment by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Group Health and Safety policy.
* Ensure team performance in quality standards, GMP, food safety, product quality, presentation, and housekeeping.
* Manage team performance and attendance, including disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and absence management.
* Coach and train operatives in all aspects of their role, including health and safety and food safety standards.
* Deploy the team effectively, manage breaks and shift changeovers to maintain productivity.
* Implement and support effective communication mechanisms within the team.
* Participate in staff recruitment and induction processes with HR.
* Complete administrative tasks and generate reports as required, including data on Protean, T&A, and holiday management.
Skills and Experience:
* Good organizational skills to allocate tasks and adjust staffing as needed.
* Driven attitude focused on achieving results.
* Strong verbal communication skills for briefing and directing staff.
* Previous supervisory experience.
