As a smaller organisation, we foster a culture where every team member is valued, ideas are encouraged, and everyone works closely together to deliver outstanding results for our clients.With an increasing workload and exciting project pipeline, we are looking to bring on an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.The Role As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of electrical building services across a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.You will take ownership of projects from initial concept through to completion, working closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and specification of electrical building services (power, lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, security systems, etc.)Manage projects from concept design through to detailed design and deliveryPrepare and review technical drawings, calculations, and specificationsAttend and lead client meetings, offering technical guidance and solutionsMentor and support junior engineers within the teamCoordinate with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutionsEnsure designs are compliant with relevant UK standards and regulations (BS7671, CIBSE, Building Regulations, etc.)Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design strategiesAbout YouDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)Minimum 5+ years' experience in a building services consultancy environmentStrong technical knowledge of electrical building services designExperience using industry software (e.g. Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit, AutoCAD)Ideally working toward or already Chartered (CIBSE/IET)Strong communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlinesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000Hybrid working for flexibility and work-life balanceA supportive, close-knit team environment with a genuine family feelClear progression opportunities within a growing consultancyVaried and technically interesting projectsOngoing professional development and support towards ChartershipFlexible and inclusive working cultureWhy Join Us?This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but ambitious consultancy where you can make a real impact.
