About the Role
1. Transfer practical knowledge to AOP lab users, demonstrate equipment and techniques, and provide support, supervision, and guidance.
2. Stay updated with discipline knowledge, trends, and technology, applying this to practices.
3. Support research projects within the AOP group, including experimental setup, equipment calibration, and data collection, with contributions acknowledged in publications.
4. Ensure staff and students comply with health and safety regulations regarding high-power lasers and hazardous chemicals, including inductions, risk assessments, and safety measures.
5. Manage procurement of equipment and consumables, monitor expenditures, and anticipate future needs.
6. Include responses to specific questions in your supporting statement about research support, laser and chemical handling experience, event organization, data management, communication, and budgeting.
