Bridging Loans Portfolio Manager

Were representing a fast-growing specialist lender with a live bridging loan book exceeding £250 million. As part of their continued expansion, theyre now looking to appoint an experienced Bridging Loans Portfolio Manager to join their Manchester office.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role managing a live portfolio of bridging loans from completion through to redemption. Youll be the central point of contact for solicitors, borrowers, and internal teams ensuring every case progresses smoothly, risks are identified early, and redemptions are delivered on time.
Youll be working directly alongside the COOand wider senior management team, playing a key role in a business thats scaling fast and building a strong reputation across the UK market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a live portfolio of bridging loans from completion through to redemption.
* Liaise directly with solicitors, legal representatives, and borrowers to ensure timely progress on all cases.
* Monitor loan performance, ensuring conditions, valuations, and exit plans remain compliant and on track.
* Manage extensions, drawdowns, and redemptions efficiently and accurately.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks within the portfolio.
* Provide regular portfolio updates and reports to senior management.
* Support continuous improvement across portfolio processes as the business grows.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in bridging finance, development finance, or specialist property lending.
* Confident liaising with solicitors and legal teams on complex cases.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Office-based availability in Manchester.
