Role
We are looking for an experienced Chef Manager who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. The role will be hands on, working with your team, with a strong focus on health and safety, food safety and delivering excellent service in school and college settings. You must be able to cook and demonstrate a real passion for food and service. You should be well presented, organised and possess great communication skills, with a genuine passion for what you do.
Responsibilities
* Work hands-on in the kitchen with your team to deliver nutritionally balanced meals across schools and colleges.
* Maintain sound health and safety and food safety practices.
* Apply good understanding of gross profit (GP) calculations and maintain IT literacy as it supports the role.
* Demonstrate a real passion for food and service and uphold Caterlink’s standards in a school/college environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience as a Chef Manager in a similar environment at a similar level.
* Well presented, organised with excellent communication skills.
* Genuine passion for food and service; able to cook.
* Good knowledge of health and safety and food safety practices; familiarity with GP calculations and IT literacy.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role.
* Evidence of ability to work with children and vulnerable adults in a safe and respectful manner.
