We are a Recycling & Skip hire Business, operating from our Merthyr office. We are seeking a motivated and organised Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to support the company’s accountant and contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Credit control
* Managing the purchase ledger
* Handling the sales ledger
* Completing bank reconciliations
* Preparing draft VAT returns
* Preparing draft accounts to trial balance
* Using Xero accounting software for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
* Using our skip tracking software
* Carrying out general office administration as required
Experience & Skills
* Experience in an accounting environment is essential
* Familiarity with Xero is extremely beneficial
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills
