The Nexum Group is in partnership with an established electrical contractor based in the Buckinghamshire area and require a Finance Manager, preferably with experience in the contracting and/or recruitment sectors. Our Company. After merging our businesses as a successful electrical contractor and construction recruitment provider, we offer unique and hybrid project solutions to a growing client base. We are continuing to evolve and encountering exciting change in our business, whilst securing a strong project pipeline, working direct for end users, tier 1 contractors and sub-contractors across London, Berkshire & Buckinghamshire. We supplement this with providing contract and permanent recruitment services to these clients and also other third-party customers. Projects will generally range from £150k to £1.7m and are based both within the public and private sectors. Generally consisting of Commercial CAT A/B fit-Outs, Hospitals/Medical Centres, Data Centres and London Airports. Our recruitment services will cover the Electrical, Mechanical, Data, Fit-Out, Construction, Data Centre and Aviation Sectors for provision of both contract and permanent personnel. This role requires the suitable candidate to undertake duties on a group level, understand the processes of both businesses and apply and adapt good financial practice across the company. Ideally based within easy commutable distance to Marlow, where we enjoy an upbeat environment, modern working space and open to hybrid working options. Duties across both sides * Run credit check against new clients. * Operatives hours/data to be populated to relevant client timesheet and cascaded to clients for approval. * Run payroll reports. * Request draw down funds from factoring facility. * E3 and Xero management – expenses, raising invoices, uploading invoices etc. * HMRC – ensure submittals are in on time relating to PAYE, CIS and VAT. * Run age creditor report and seek approval for invoices to be paid before due dates. * Run P&L report weekly * General book-keeping * Liaison with our appointed accountants regarding management accounts. * Identify company trends and provide advice on efficent processes and practices.
