We have an extensive gym, steam room and sauna, outdoor rooftop pool surrounded by sunbed and a bar, late night bar and live music space. We have casual lounge areas for food and drink on the 8th floor and a members’ restaurant for more formal dining. The house also includes 23 bedrooms on the 6th floor. The Role… At Soho House a Gym Manager is dedicated to health and wellness as well as overall fitness. The Gym Manager is a dynamic role that oversees every aspect of the day-to-day management of Soho House fitness centres. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the gym as well as ensuring that the equipment and machines are in excellent working condition. A successful Gym Manager is an energetic and enthusiastic leader who ensures locker rooms and sauna are hygienic, creating and scheduling classes and personal training sessions, scheduling the gym team, and overseeing the work of the gym staff. Main Duties Influential fitness leader responsible for providing high quality fitness training, advice, programs, and inductions to members and staff as well as overseeing staffing levels and member events Oversee team management including but not limited to recruitment, on-boarding, training, payroll and disciplinary procedures. As well as staff performance, conducting appraisals and strategize with leadership to assess staff performance and development while maintaining professional relationships Monitor and analyse delivery of services to identify opportunities for quality of delivery, attendance figures, and making changes where needed to increase profit margins and revenue streams Collaborate with the Marketing and Events Team with the promotion of facility services and amenities to optimize new membership and potential profit increases Vendor management and supply and procurement activities and deal with equipment manufacturers to ensure all pieces of gym equipment comply with safety and Soho House standards and organize the repair, cleaning, maintenance, and purchase of gym machines What we are looking for 5 years experience in a similar fitness role Personal training certification (Min Level 3 qualification) First aid certification and knowledge Strong communication and people skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements: Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required Expected working hours for a Gym Manager: Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes
