Role: HR & Engagement Specialist
Location: Halifax
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time (will require occasional flexibility to support people on different shift patterns)
Salary: Up-to £44,000 + 5% bonus
This is an exciting opportunity with a global manufacturing organisation who produce a range of well-known, well-loved, household brands. With a heritage spanning more than 80 years, their products are loved the world over, and they are looking for an HR & Engagement Specialist where you’ll play a key role in driving engagement, inclusion, and operational HR support.
Supporting the site HR Business Partner, you will:
* Champion employee engagement initiatives, including site engagement surveys, action planning and driving continuous improvement.
* Support cultural change and inclusion efforts, helping build a sense of belonging, as well as bringing fresh thinking to support all colleagues.
* Provide HR guidance to employees and junior managers, fostering trusted relationships
* Supporting the HRBP with low level ER casework and operational site activity
* Collaborate with recruitment, L&D, OH, and communications to enhance the employee experience.
* Lead site communications and maintain strong community and CSR connections.
* Work in partnership with the resourcing team to provide an effective and proactive approach to recruitment and talent attraction & onboarding across to site.
What You’ll Bring
* Solid experience in HR operations, with a strong grasp of employee engagement drivers.
* Confidence in handling low-level employee relations issues including resolution.
* Comprehensive experience of working with a range of people policies, including flexible working, maternity, disciplinary & grievance, performance improvement.
* Ability to build respected, trusted, and supportive relationships with key partners.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels.
* Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation abilities.
* A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and learning.
* Ideally, CIPD L5 qualified or operating at an equivalent standard, with exposure to manufacturing and unions.
