Robert Half are working in partnership with an established and growing business based near to Bournemouth within the FMCG sector to recruit a Finance Director on a permanent basis. The Finance Director role will suit candidates with a demonstrable experience within a similar industry such as FMCG, distribution or logistics. You will have a good understanding of the commercial drivers needed to succeed in these sectors alongside an all-round strength in management and financial accounting. The successful candidate will be well versed in business partnering with stakeholders up to and including C-Suite, weekly forecasting and close monitoring of projects and cashflow.
Alongside ownership of the finance function, you will also assume control of the IT team with the support of a Head of IT. Being a key player in driving the continued positive culture, a real leader with a collaborative approach
The Finance Director position will be based near to Bournemouth offering a base salary between £100,000 and £120,000 per annum plus company profit share. This role is based 5 days on site.
Key responsibilities include
* Lead the financial strategy to drive performance and communicate to board level
* Ensure adherence to all areas of controls, compliance and statutory requirements
* Drive systems led approach ensuring process improvement and best practice
* Ensure company requirements around capital, debt management and tax are met
* Assume part of the senior leadership team collaborating with cross functional areas to achieve a one business approach to driving results and best practice
* Cash flow management and weekly cash flow forecast accurate and up to date
* Financial analysis and modelling to support capital investments, pricing and contracts
* Drive IT strategy and performance via an established team
About your experience
* Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/)
* Proven experience in a finance leadership role (managing circa 10)
* Previous experience within stock related industry (logistics, distribution, FMCG)
* Recent exposure to large SME or mid-sized business, used to managing a fast paced and evolving day to day
