Transport Coordinator – Export Trailers (Norway Focus)

An established freight and logistics provider is currently seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in European road freight – particularly Norway or other export trailer planning – and a strong focus on service, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
*
Plan and coordinate domestic and export trailer movements, with a focus on Norway and other European destinations.
*
Manage end-to-end road shipments, from quoting through to delivery and POD collection.
*
Schedule deliveries and coordinate closely with internal departments, such as the warehouse and planning teams.
*
Maintain up-to-date records in the TMS (Transport Management System).
*
Monitor and control local transport and subcontractor costs.
*
Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all enquiries and issues are resolved efficiently.
*
Support key account logistics involving storage, distribution, and delivery planning.
*
Ensure full compliance with customer and internal SOPs and regulatory standards.
*
Produce required documentation including CMRs, pre-alerts, and billing paperwork.
Compliance & Safety
*
Work in line with company standards including QA, Health & Safety, HMRC regulations, and transport compliance (e.g., Dangerous Goods, Customs).
*
Comply with company QHSE procedures and actively report hazards, near-misses, or incidents.
*
Uphold high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and appearance in line with company expectations.

Experience planning European trailer movements, ideally to Norway.
