An exciting position has opened up within our fantastic nursery! We are looking for somebody to take the next step in their career and join our team as a senior room leader for our baby room. The candidate will be required to lead the room working alongside a small staff team and will, oversee the day to day running of the room ensuring it is a fun, exciting and safe environment whereby children thrive. You will be responsible for managing your team ensuring activities are carried out daily and children's care routines are met. You will be required to oversee the planning and observation for all key groups and ensure that children's development is supported through engaging activities so that we have a positive impact on children's holistic development. You will take on the role of being a key person for at least 6 key children and will be responsible for ensuring every child in your room has accurate assessments carried out on them. In addition to this you will work alongside the management as part of our team supporting us and coming up with new ideas and initiatives to help us drive the nursery forward. You must: Have a minimum Level 3 recognised Childcare qualification Have sound knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene procedures Have a clear understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and be able to use this knowledge in everyday practice. Have worked with children in a nursery setting for a minimum of 2 years. Show a willing and can do, positive attitude Be able to cope well under pressure Be able to communicate effectively and delegate roles to staff members Be confident to communicate with parents and work in professional partnership with them to ensure they are included in their childs time at nursery.
