Are you looking to start or develop your career in residential conveyancing? This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior candidate to join a supportive law firm and gain hands-on experience within a busy Residential Property team.
We are working with a well-regarded firm in Romford who are seeking a motivated and organised Junior Paralegal to assist with client onboarding and the early stages of property transactions. This role is ideal for someone with some legal or administrative experience who is keen to build a long-term career in conveyancing.
The Role
You will support the Residential Property team with the initial stages of transactions, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding process for clients.
Full training and support will be provided, and you will work closely with experienced fee earners and colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with opening new client files and taking initial details
* Supporting the onboarding process, including ID checks and compliance procedures
* Acting as a first point of contact for clients and responding to queries
* Providing administrative support to fee earners within the team
* Assisting with the progression of property matters from instruction onwards
* Handling correspondence with clients, estate agents, and third parties
* Preparing basic legal documents and standard templates
* Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems
* Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties
About You
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn.
You will ideally have:
* Some previous office or administrative experience (legal experience is beneficial but not essential)
* An interest in residential conveyancing or property law
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Good attention to detail and organisational ability
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
* A positive, proactive, and “can-do” attitude
* The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
