Due to ongoing client wins and impressive growth, DAC Beachcrofts Casualty Injury large loss team is looking for a talented Paralegal (or equivalent). The Casualty Injury large loss team focuses on employers liability and public liability claims with claims valued at over £100,000. The role will involve supporting others within the team with their caseloads. This is your chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team with full training provided, handling a diverse range of EL/PL claims and making a real impact. You will have the chance to develop your technical expertise in EL/PL personal injury claims, understand the litigation process, enhance your time management skills, and build valuable legal connections. What you will do
* Support others within the team with their caseloads
* Ensure work is carried out to meet clients’ needs, the commercial requirements of the firm and quality standards
* Adherence to internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocols
* Achievement of agreed financial targets
* Prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements
* Prompt and accurate provision of MI
* Devising a clear case strategy, assisting with ensuring cases are run smoothly while balancing the commercial interests of the Firm and the client
* Applying appropriate and current technical expertise and case law
* Managing risk and compliance issues within each case and escalating emerging problems promptly to the Supervisor
* Engaging with clients as appropriate to maximise opportunities and build rapport, acting as an ambassador of the firm
* Contributing to Business Development and client relationship activity in support of the Client Relationship Partner where required
* Maintaining and developing technical knowledge through training and publications
Who you are
* Paralegals with experience in a similar role, ideally EL/PL experience. We are also open to candidates with related backgrounds such as Claimant, motor, disease, pre-litigated Defendant work, clinical negligence, profin, etc.
* Good organisation skills, able to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and maintain a strong work ethic
* Able to produce work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail and quality of service
* Enthusiastic about joining a well-established Casualty Injury (EL/PL) team and building a future with DAC Beachcroft
