Position details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerical Officer based at University Hospital Ayr.
What You Will Do
You will work within a designated ward area providing a clerical and reception service, receiving patients and members of the public as they arrive at hospital. Duties include the maintenance and filing of patient confidential records, recording patient related data, admissions and out-patient appointments using the computerised patient administration system, and answering telephones and relaying messages.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
Candidates should possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience.
Hours
19.8 hours per week
Week 1: Monday 8am – 4pm (30 min break); Tuesday 8am – 3.48pm (30 min break); Wednesday 8am – 1pm (no break).
Week 2: Wednesday 1pm – 6pm (no break); Thursday 8am – 4pm (30 min break); Friday 8am – 3.48pm (30 min break).
