Job Description:
GRG Executive has exclusively partnered with a dynamic international logistics business, seeking a motivated Commercial Operations & Excellence Director to oversee the development of their cross-functional commercial offering globally. Key Duties:
* Deal structuring
* Product and service innovation
* Business insights and commercial analytics
* Market insights (competitor knowledge!)
* CRM – ensuring existing CRM is fully utilised
Additional information:
* Sales Support (including Pricing): Assists all sectors with deal structuring, pricing strategies, and client proposals.
* Bid & Proposal Management (RFP/RFQ Support): Manages large tenders, proposal writing, and complex pricing models.
* Commercial Analytics & Performance Reporting: Provides data insights on sales performance, margins, and sector-specific KPIs.
* Client Relationship Management (CRM) & Key Accounts: Manages major client relationships, improves retention, and streamlines cross-sector opportunities.
The Ideal Background:
* Strong background in pricing and other commercial elements of forwarding
* Experience in secure logistics, working with products moving via airlines, valuable services (VAL)
* Understanding of CargoWise
* Experience managing a third-party supplier network, building quotes, and using multiple costs, ideally within small to medium freight forwarding or 3PL businesses
* Strong experience in commercial reporting and presenting to executive level
* CRM experience, ideally with Monday.com
* Experience reviewing, changing, and implementing new sales processes and procedures, using best-in-class methodologies
* Experience managing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams
