The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Early Careers team in the role of Early Careers Attraction & Selection Manager.

You will manage the Attraction & Selection activity and team, with responsibility for the Foundation Apprenticeship, Degree Apprenticeship, Work Experience and T-level programmes within HSBC UK. Additional programmes may come under the role remit as the Early Careers agenda evolves.

You will report to the Emerging Talent Attraction & Selection Lead.

Key Accountabilities

What you'll be doing:

* Support the development, delivery, and evolution of an Attraction strategy that positions HSBC UK as an employer of choice for diverse Work Experience, T-level, and Apprentice talent. By aligning with our future skills needs, this will help to build a pipeline of 'home grown' capability.
* Support the development and delivery of a Selection strategy that ensures fair and consistent selection decisions based on best-in-class methodologies. You'll work with the Emerging Talent Attraction & Selection lead to drive consistency and alignment to both wider UK and Global norms, where appropriate.
* Ensure close stakeholder engagement with the recruitment processes for Early Careers, creating enhanced buy-in, adherence to policies and procedures and an openness to different sources and types of talent.
* Lead, manage and develop the Early Careers Recruitment team (split between on and offshore), responsible for Attraction and Selection activity. Support alignment to wider Emerging Talent activity streams, whilst driving a nuanced approach appropriate for relevant audiences or locations.
* Ensure robust risk management processes, acting as a front-line steward and ensuring all team activity complies to regulatory, legal, and reputational standards.

Skills & Experience

You'll need to demonstrate:

Must-haves:

* Strong organisational and attention to detail, with an ability to work in a highly matrixed organisation with complex processes.
* Leadership skills, evidencing robust management and development practices for junior staff members.
* Knowledge of attraction and selection strategies within the Emerging Talent market.
* Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Levy.
* Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority.
* Relationship management skills, able to build strong relations and partnerships both internally and with vendors.
* Data literate, able to generate, understand, analyse, and infer to continuously improve operating standards and team direction.
* A drive to innovate, building or helping to build best-in-market talent attraction and selection activities to help us secure talent now and in the future.
* A passion for Early Talent, with thorough knowledge of the Early Careers market throughout the UK, not isolated only to London.
