Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Bolton
Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only
Salary: GBP 130.00 - GBP 190.00
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Bolton. As an agency partner, we are excited to present this rewarding opportunity for a skilled Teacher who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. The school is looking for an enthusiastic Teacher who is committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role requires a Teacher who is adaptable, empathetic, and dedicated to providing the best outcomes for each child in your care.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons, ensuring that each student's individual needs are met.
* Work closely with support staff to provide tailored interventions and one-to-one support to students with SEN.
* Create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment that supports students' emotional, social, and academic development.
* Regularly monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to help students achieve their potential and improve their outcomes.
* Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, working collaboratively to ensure a holistic approach to support.
Essential Criteria
* Qualified Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching students with various special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and SEMH needs.
* Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs, ensuring curriculum access.
* Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* A patient, empathetic approach to working with children with SEN, with a genuine passion for making a difference as a Teacher.
Desirable
* Experience in a specialist SEN setting or with students who have complex needs.
* Knowledge of SEN strategies, including communication tools, sensory activities, and behavior management techniques.
* Familiarity with assistive technology to support students with SEN.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Experience collaborating with professionals such as SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies.
