Our Health, Safety and Environment Manager, plays a key role in delivering and maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture company wide. You will liaise closely with the management team across all regions, becoming a safety champion relating to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance, ensuring continuous improvement to our safety standards, systems and procedures, implementing legislative compliance and best practices across our multidiscipline team.
You will play a key role in shaping and ensuring that CDE is an exemplar of HSE in our industry, strengthening our current HSE legacy with your wide-ranging knowledge and experience relating to delivering the design, manufacturing and installation of our equipment in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements.
About The Role
Responsibilities
* Support the development and implementation of HSE strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrate your commitment to CDE’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance through your behaviours and leadership using this to influence others within CDE.
* Be an effective team leader, managing members of the HSE Team to deliver a comprehensive service to all areas of CDE.
* Act as a key liaison between senior leadership, operational teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication of HSE expectations and performance.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to embed HSE considerations into daily operations and decision making, championing SHE Committees and related meetings.
* Champion a proactive safety culture by promoting shared ownership, accountability and continuous improvement across all levels of the organisation.
* Be central in the design and delivery of initiatives that increase workforce engagement in HSE initiatives and campaigns.
* Coach and influence managers and supervisors to lead by example and actively drive positive safety behaviours within their teams.
* Manage and analyse CDE's Safety Portal data and engagement metrics to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement.
* Support and lead incident investigations with a focus on learning and prevention, ensuring findings are effectively communicated and acted upon.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, standards and company polices across a multi-jurisdictional setting.
* Monitor and report KPIs related to HSE including the preparation of a variety of reports to be communicated in an upward and downward hierarchy.
* Manage HSE Training through our ERP software with the support of the HSE Co-ordinator.
* Lead and champion the HSE internal audit process across all departments.
* Prepare for and support the completion of all external audits, with particular emphasis on our ISO 14001 and 45001 certification process.
* Conduct site assessments globally to align with CDE's HSE strategy and foster a collaborative environment to develop HSE awareness.
