Coats Recruitment's client in Redditch is seeking a talented individual for the position of Materials, Planning, and Logistics Manager on a permanent basis. Job Title: Materials, Planning, and Logistics Manager Reporting to: Senior Operations Manager Office hours 7.00 – 4.00 Monday to Thursday 7.00 – Midday on Friday Salary depending on level of experience 33k to 42K per annum Job Purpose/Objectives: Ensure strategic material planning processes are established to ensure operational and production continuity. Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth supply of materials to meet production requirements. Deliver efficient and flexible solutions to meet production needs. Ensure on-time and complete deliveries to customers. Responsible for purchasing all consumables. Job Responsibilities and Major Activities/Tasks: Develop and implement effective material scheduling strategies. Address material and production planning issues, including shortages, overages, and under-deliveries. Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions. Manage inventory risks and implement contingency plans. Recommend solutions to overcome operational challenges and ensure production requirements are met. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure integrity of Bill of Materials and inventory accuracy. Oversee labeling processes to ensure accurate deliveries. Investigate and implement enhancement initiatives. Provide regular feedback to customers on deliveries and quality-related issues. Maintain business relationships with key customer personnel. Ensure accurate maintenance of customer orders and schedule information. Provide strategic and operational information to relevant stakeholders. Report on achievement of targets and identify corrective actions. Experience with MRP systems and planning processes in automotive manufacturing. Understanding of ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards. Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
