Have you ever worked in the fast‑paced logistics environment? Maybe you have experience in transport, but want a new challenge where you can further develop your skills and knowledge?
We are looking for a full‑time, permanent, 12‑month fixed‑term contract Transport Planning Clerk to join our team in Daventry, working in partnership with our customer Sainsbury's.
Shift pattern: 5‑day rotating between 07:00 and 17:00 with 40% hybrid working (office based).

What you will do on a typical day:
* Create and manage transport schedules across multiple sites, ensuring cost efficiency, service level compliance, and optimal trailer utilisation.
* Plan and execute backhaul requests and ad‑hoc transport movements, addressing failures and optimising routes to reduce empty legs and costs.
* Collate and validate operational data, produce financial reports, raise invoices, and maintain accurate KPI records.
* Liaise with hauliers, depots, and third parties to resolve issues, monitor haulier performance.
* Produce reports as requested in a timely manner.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
* Excellent organisation, communication, and customer service skills.
* Good MS Office knowledge.
* Strong communication skills, with ability to work on own initiative as well as team engagement/delivery.
