As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our finance team in managing monthly and annual accounts. From overseeing FECs and managing our foreign currency risk to handling monthly accruals & prepayments, reviewing credit card expenses, and coordinating accounts payable, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring financial integrity and efficiency. Your main task and responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Manager in timely & accurate submission of statutory accounts and internal/external audits
* Take charge of internal controls, proactively arranging independent checks and coordinating work with specific internal control owners across the business
* Handle accruals and prepayments efficiently
* Serve as the FEC process owner, reviewing and controlling the company's exposure to foreign currency
* Manage accounts payable, including payment arrangements aligned with cash forecasts, reconciliation of statements, and vendor down payments
* Administering the company credit cards, and managing the payment of employee expense claims

Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in manufacturing desirable
* AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified preferable
* Experience with monthly management accounts preferred
* Advanced MS Excel skills required
* Understanding of ERP/database management (SAP knowledge preferable).
* General computer skills and presentation skills
* Ability to build vendor relationships and provide transparency on payment due dates
