About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial & Subcontracts Manager to drive strategic contract execution and innovative commercial solutions across existing and new business requirements in Cyber & Intelligence and Space & ISR. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts & Subcontracts, you will influence mission-critical outcomes while collaborating with cross-functional teams at the forefront of national security.
Skills and Experience
Essential skills:
1. Proven experience negotiating commercial and subcontract agreements in Defence or Cyber sectors.
2. Experience of bidding on large, complex requirements.
3. Degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
4. Strong communicator with a proactive, adaptable mindset.
5. Familiarity with Agile and other contracting methodologies.
6. Financial acumen with the ability to translate programme data into actionable insights.
7. Track record of driving performance and solving complex problems.
8. Skilled in managing customer and subcontractor relationships.
Desirable:
9. Experience working with UK Government departments as a prime or subcontractor.
10. Exposure to international suppliers and collaborative delivery models.
11. Knowledge of Teaming Agreements and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
12. Lead with impact: Own the delivery of contracts and subcontracts across bids and programmes, ensuring full compliance with Raytheon policies.
13. Strategic execution: Develop and implement commercial and subcontracting strategies that support complex proposals and customer requirements.
14. Risk & opportunity management: Navigate contract and subcontract changes throughout the lifecycle to maximise value and mitigate risk.
15. Financial stewardship: Partner with programme leadership to drive financial performance and shape business cases for senior stakeholders.
16. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, programme management, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated solutions.
