Company description: j Job description: About the role The Public Health Analyst, Medical Information and Analysis (MInA), is responsible for: • Monitoring & analysis of global endemic and non-endemic health hazards, disease outbreaks and health impacts of crises and natural disasters• Researching, analysing, reviewing and publishing all medical information for International SOS products and services as well as some internal resources.• Participating in 24/7 roster for monitoring and publication of information, with handover to next team member on duty.• Contributing to other International SOS medical information activities as directed by senior MInA staff.• Assessing risk to individual health, company operations, and public health.• Working closely with Intl SOS Security I&A, with joint reporting. Key responsibilities • Performance of high-quality desktop research focused on health and medical information. • Drafting and publishing medical information for International SOS information products including Country Guides, Medical Alerts, special websites, training materials and consulting reports. • Train new members of the MInA team in processes and procedures for gathering, analysis and publication of medical information, as well as in the use of relevant IT systems. • Play an active role in explaining to clients the process of medical information gathering and analysis undertaken by International SOS (via conference calls, visits to clients, and during client visits to International SOS offices) • Be an advocate for the MInA team. Orient new employees to the medical information within the client-facing products and the functions of MInA team. • Being an active team member, ensuring regular timely and clear communications with management and the rest of the team.• Project management Profile description: About you • Communication skills and cultural sensitivity• Strong medical desktop research skills• High quality editing skills and computer literacy• Ability to establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders• Ability to maintain high professional standards• Ability to work flexibly with colleagues from different disciplines• Ability to work effectively with virtual teams in different time zones• Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and operating protocols • Knowledge of travel medicine is desired.• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Public Health, or a tertiary degree in nursing, science, health or medically related field.• Experience with website publication, content management systems desired.• Excellent English both written and spoken• Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is desired.
