Job Description:
Bumerangue is a block within the Pre-Salt Polygon in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil. It is bp's largest discovery in the last 25 years. The development program for the Bumerangue block is based on a Float Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and associated subsea systems in the shape of Subsea Production Systems (SPS) and Subsea Umbilical Risers and Flowlines (SURF). Bumerangue block is located at ultra deep waters (i.e., >1500m).
The development vision includes the delivery of an Early Production System (EPS) as the first Phase 1 followed by a multi-phase Full Field Development (FFD). Projects are in search of an Integration General Manager to lead the integration of the Bumerangue EPS and FFD developments.
Role Synopsis:
The Integration General Manager will act and face of the projects to the Region and partners while supporting the AGM and PGMs. They will have the accountability for the integration scope driving progress and integration of the project and approvals into FEL 2b and FEL3. This role is for an Integration General Manager to oversee the integration of the Bumerangue EPS and FFD. The Integration General Manager will provide leadership and direction on integration to the bp team and contractors to ensure safe design and quality execution. The Integration General Manager with work closely with the AGM, FPSO PGM and Subsea PGMs who will accountable for performance management of the Appraisal engineering, FPSO and subsea contractor delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
Candidates shall demonstrate experience in project management and delivery in upstream offshore Oil and Gas projects in ultra deep waters, at least one role as either Project Leader or Project Director for a project >$1bn TIC
Establish and Performance Manage DPcp Deliverables:
Lead the establishment and ongoing performance management of DPcp deliverables for Bumerangue in line with bp's Operating Management System (OMS), ensuring conformance and project self-verification.
Coordinate VP, OBR, and Regional Business Review Meetings:
Organize and facilitate VP-level, OBR, and regional business review meetings, ensuring effective preparation and delivery of materials to SVPs and other senior partners.
Integrate Weekly and Monthly Program Meetings:
Coordinate weekly and monthly integration meetings across other VPs, AGMs, and PGMs, driving alignment and collaboration for program delivery and performance management.
Lead Project Controls Team:
Manage the project controls team, providing oversight and support for project delivery in partnership with VP, AGM, and PGM partners.
Manage Regional Project Interfaces:
Oversee project regional interfaces, including E&S (Environment & Sustainability) and contractor engagements, ensuring alignment with business drivers and stakeholder requirements.
Own HWW, communications and PEP including Regional/Project Enabler Interfaces:
Take ownership of How We work and project execution plan and interfaces across the region and project enablers, fostering integration and support for project objectives to be delivered by PGMs and other enablers.
Establish and Performance Manage Partner Engagements:
Develop and manage partner engagement strategies, supporting governance requirements and ensuring effective collaboration with external partners.
Demonstrate Safety, Collaboration, and Environmental Responsibility:
Promote a safe, collaborative, and environmentally responsible work process in all aspects of the role, championing bp's right-first-time program and HSSE leadership.
Drive Standardization and Best Practices:
Capture, communicate, and apply lessons learned and best practices, driving standardization and industry solutions to improve cost competitiveness, capital efficiency, and project outcomes.
Deliver Against FM Promise:
Manage and report project performance, cost, schedule, safety, quality, and operability against the FM promise, ensuring commitments are met at optimum pace and value retention.
Essential Education:
Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
* Relevant project management delivery and accountability experience in the Energy industry with demonstrable capability and track record in setting up large complex projects $>1bn.
* Experience with complex energy projects and partner and contractor engagement for floating / fixed offshore facilities and subsea tie back projects".
* A leader and integrator that is inclusive and respectful individual capable of building strong relationships, influencing and collaborating with others; understanding the big picture and driving focus on what matters.
* Good People skills, ability to lead by example and to lead without line authority
* Strong capability in identifying and successfully managing complex stakeholder relationships
* Knowledge of industry standards in Project Management
* Excellent English oral and written communication skills
* Good business ethics and general knowledge of negotiations, contracts, financing & regulatory consenting.
* Proven risk and performance management capability
Desirable criteria
• Relevant experience leading projects in define & execute stages.
• Good capability applying decision quality/decision analysis practices.
• Chartership or Professional Engineering accreditation.
• APM/PMP accreditation.
Additional Information:
Business travel up to 25% may be required.
