Duty Manager – Dawlish Leisure Centre (Fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave)
Contract: approx. 4 months with potential to extend. Hours: 37 per week. Salary: £31,022 – £33,699 per annum.
Location: Dawlish Leisure Centre
We are looking for a Duty Manager to join our team. You could be doing anything from unlocking the leisure centre and setting up, to ordering supplies and checking everything is perfect for customers. Once the day is in full swing, you’ll ensure it’s all running as it should be – handling customer queries, managing your team and ensuring the successful operation of the Leisure Centre.
Responsibilities
* Lead effectively and be a good communicator.
* Ensure health and safety principles are understood and followed, with adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
* Provide excellent customer service to all pool users.
* Be proactive in identifying day-to-day problems and resolving them as appropriate; manage competing workloads and work well under pressure.
* Supervise staff and assist with daily centre operations as required.
Qualifications and requirements
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Pool lifeguard qualification.
* First aid at work qualification.
