Benefits & Revenues Administration Officer
£24,796 - £25,583 per annum, pro rata (Actual Salary £14,743 - £15,211 per annum) | Part Time (22 hours per week) | Permanent
Joining the Council's Benefits & Revenues Team based in Bideford you will help to provide general clerical support to the Benefits and Revenues Teams. You will provide information to the DWP to help them undertake investigations and reviews in all matters in relation to potential Benefit/Council Tax Fraud or other irregularities. You will also help with reviews to ensure the correct Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Support is being paid.
These reviews will be carried out in accordance with DWP, Housing Benefit Award Accuracy and Council requirements.
Experience of working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and working with the general public is essential. The successful candidate will need to be courteous, tactful and resilient.
Applicants must be educated to GCSE standard which includes Maths and English at Grade C or above or be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
