Position: EHS Manager
Salary: Up to £59,000 (including car allowance) + 14% combined pension & private healthcare.
About the Role
This role is for someone who genuinely cares about making workplaces safer, healthier, and greener, rather than just ticking boxes. It’s not suited for those who prefer endless paperwork or superficial compliance.
You will be the lead on all EHS matters, managing an EHS Coordinator, and advising senior management to implement meaningful safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and drive the EHS agenda on site.
2. Manage and develop the EHS Coordinator.
3. Advise the senior team and influence decision-making.
4. Lead risk reduction and hazard elimination projects.
5. Identify gaps, set strategies, and implement solutions.
Candidate Requirements
* 3–5 years of relevant safety and environmental management experience.
* Experience working in food manufacturing environments.
* Experience managing a team or small groups.
* NEBOSH Certificate (preferably Diploma), IEMA, or similar qualification.
Essential Skills
* Excellent communication skills; able to engage with people authentically.
