Working with businesses across the UK, WEEE Scotland helps customers to extend the life of their electrical equipment and machinery, and dispose of redundant electronics in a safe, sustainable and compliant way. The Reception and Admin Support Assistant will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a warm and professional welcome. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our office and contribute to our mission of sustainable resource management.
A part-time job share would be considered for this role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner
* Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate staff members
* Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
* Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings
* Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
* Provide general administrative support to various departments including HR, HSE, sales and marketing and operations
* Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
* Handle confidential information with discretion
* Provide ongoing support to the Finance function (full training provided)
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or similar role
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Well presented with friendly and professional demeanour
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Qualifications in office administration
* Knowledge/experience in waste and recycling sector
* Full driving license
