Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the organisation as Head of IT & Digital Systems. This pivotal senior leadership role has responsibility for leading and developing the organisation’s IT and digital function, ensuring infrastructure, systems, telephony, cyber security and information governance arrangements are secure, resilient and aligned to organisational priorities. Reporting to the Director of Performance and Delivery, the postholder will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s digital ambition.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the organisation’s IT and digital function, ensuring infrastructure, systems, telephony, cyber security and information governance arrangements are secure, resilient and aligned to organisational priorities.
Shape and deliver the organisation’s digital ambition, reporting to the Director of Performance and Delivery.
Lead the development, management and optimisation of IT infrastructure and digital systems, ensuring services are reliable, user‑focused and fit for the future.
Provide visible leadership, day‑to‑day oversight and support across the full IT function.
Act as the lead for Information Governance, taking overall responsibility for cyber security, data protection and GDPR compliance, ensuring robust governance frameworks, policies and controls are in place.
Represent the organisation at external forums and system meetings as a credible and influential ambassador.
Participate in the on‑call rota.
Qualifications
Extensive experience across IT, digital systems and service improvement.
Ability to lead organisational change and modernise the current operating model.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on continuous improvement, professionalism and organisational values.
Technically strong leader comfortable operating strategically and hands‑on with operational delivery.
